We started off the day split into two groups. We were focused on clearing up some space that the monastery members wanted open, but there was a large amount of dirt and weeds in the area. While one group was on the top of the hill shoveling dirt and picking weeds from the area and filling them into buckets, there was another group that was transporting the buckets of dirt down hill and into the garden so it could be used as soil. Then, they would carry the buckets back up the hill so we could reuse them. By the end of the trip we had cleared out almost all the dirt from the area. Thank you to everyone who participated!
