After a long hiatus, we finally resumed our Tri-Valley Native American Center trips! This time, on our mission to empower indigenous education, we tackled a variety of tasks, including preparing craft materials, building boxes from scratch, organizing new shipments of quilts, and distributing school supplies for elementary schoolers. In addition, we helped clean out an enormous shelf, filled with old artifacts, paperwork, and supplies. We categorized and boxed them all up, replacing the empty shelves with bottles of colorful sand, school supplies, and more. Ms. Henson, TVNAC’s program director and teacher, said that with Tap’s help, we completed a project that she had been putting off for months—an immensely successful trip!
