Tiantian Yang
Founder | Executive Director
Tiantian Yang is a senior at the Quarry Lane School with an interest in exploring philosophies and ethics to apply them benevolently within the business world.
For the past three years, Tiantian has served on the Quarry Lane Associated Student Body Leadership Team and leads the current 2024-2025 council as the ASB President. Having spoken as a student panelist and at conferences, she shares her enthusiasm collaborating with students around the Bay Area to ameliorate academic inequality and bring further awareness to educational circumstances around the world.

Lucy Liu '26
Lucy is a junior at the Quarry Lane School. She loves reading, consuming art in different forms, and exercising. She believes education plays a key role in opportunity and wishes to help as many as possible gain it. Her favorite Tap event was Tap into the Night, and she loved seeing the event come to fruition after also having fun planning it.

Ashley Liu '27
Ashley is a sophomore at Quarry Lane High School. She loves to read and enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking. Her favorite part of Tap is being able to help others and spread awareness about important but overlooked causes.

Leads Director
Athena Chan '26
Athena is a junior at The Quarry Lane School. She loves to listen to and write music, and she has played the piano and flute for years. In her free time, she passionately advocates against violence and genocide through research and education. As Tap's Director of Leads, she strives to reach and inspire the broader community to alleviate educational inequities within underserved populations. Her favorite part of Tap is connecting with members across California through community service and the common goal of bettering society.

Director of Finance
Sriya Palleti '27
Sriya is a Sophomore at Quarry Lane. She joined the Tap Initiative at the end of her freshman year and is currently in charge of Finance. Sriya's favorite part about Tap is the people and members who share similar goals to her. Both she and the rest of the Tap members love to help the community and Sriya loves spending time on something that will help other people. Sriya's favorite Tap activity was Tap Into The Night. Outside of Tap, Sriya swims and has a love for biology.

Secretarial Director
Gauri Kumar '26
Gauri is a junior at The Quarry Lane School who loves to skateboard and fold modular origami in her free time. On weekends she volunteers to teach swim lessons to kids that are part of the special needs community. This desire to give back to the community is what led her to join Tap and contribute to their overall mission of helping other fellow students. Her favorite Tap-hosted event was Tap into the Night, their first night market where she got to explore various cultures and perform as part of her school’s Ska Band.

Director of Outreach
Pragna Maddali '26
Pragna is a junior at The Quarry Lane School. She loves writing and photography, among other creative outlets. Tap’s noble pursuit to empower cultural groups through education is one that strongly resonates with her. It is what drew her to become a part of the organization’s team. Her favorite Tap event was Tap Into the Night, the annual night market, as it allowed the Quarry Lane community to embrace different cultures through food and art. She looks forward to contributing to the organization’s other projects this year.

Asher Wang '27
Asher is a sophomore. He is outgoing and likes to hang out with his friends in his free time. His favorite part of Tap is that he can work with his friends to help the community.

Senior Leads Director
Aarsh Mittal '25
Aarsh is a senior at The Quarry Lane School in Dublin, CA. He loves spreading his robotics and overall engineering knowledge through his mentorship of FTC teams, as well as through his company, VRTX Printing Co. He is very passionate about volunteering at the local temple and contributing back to his community. His favorite Tap events are whenever he volunteers at Fa Yun Chan Temple as he loves working on manual projects which helps to progress the temple's overall renovation project.

Senior Finance Director
Tarang Chavali '25
Tarang is a senior at the Quarry Lane School. In his free time, he likes to play golf. His favorite thing about being a part of the Tap Initiative is part taking in the bi-monthly pizza fundraisers where we would sell pizza and soda to high schoolers. His favorite part of this organization is its mission of working to help recognize cultural minorities in the Bay Area.

Senior Secretarial Director
Rainee Li '25
Rainee is a senior at Quarry Lane. She has been with Tap since the very beginning and is more than elated that the organization has progressed from the translation work it did at the start. She also has a one-year-old cat named Chia who originated as a stray rescued from being trapped beneath a car. Her favorite component of Tap is the nonstop pursuit of spreading cultural values and knowledge regardless of who or what organization the initiative collaborates with. With that in mind, it’s no surprise her favorite Tap event was their first-ever annual night market celebrating all sorts of ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and she hopes to see it return for years to come.

Naomi Koski
Naomi is a senior at the Quarry Lane School. She loves learning about other cultures and helping her peers. Her favorite Tap event is Tap into the Night because she enjoys spreading awareness through food!

American High Lead
Chloe Dang
Chloe is a junior at American High School, who enjoys participating in extracurriculars like swimming, water polo, taekwondo, and volunteering. Chloe strives to lead the AHS team in supporting educational organizations by eliminating inequities and creating long-lasting change. By offering hands-on activities and various volunteer experiences, the AHS team aims to spread cultural awareness and provide more exposure to minority groups.

California High School Lead
Arjun Patel
Arjun is a junior at California High School. He loves advocating for mental health in his community and spreading awareness of its stigma to those in need. He enjoys helping culturally underserved minorities in our society and volunteering at various facilities to better educate and support them. He especially loves working at the Fa Yun Chan Temple where members landscape and garden to create less dense and easily accessible areas for the future academic center.

Foothill Lead
Nimrit Bath
Nim is a senior at Foothill High School. She loves to do volunteer work and has helped build schools in Honduras. She is passionate about providing opportunities to her community members to help them thrive and succeed. Her favorite parts about being a Tap member and lead were renovating the Fa Yun Chan Temple and attending Tap’s first night market.

Irvington Lead
Luna Yang
Luna is a junior at Irvington High School. She likes to swim, paint, and hopes to own several cats one day. She has faith that the Tap Initiative will help students become more involved in the community and open new opportunities to those in need.

Mission San Jose Lead
Kaylin Teo
Kaylin is a sophomore at Mission San Jose High School. She enjoys running, playing basketball, and reading in her free time. She is also excited to see Tap grow as a nonprofit and help out local communities through volunteering.

Castro Valley High School Lead
Sofiia Demianets
Sofiia is a rising senior at Castro Valley High School. She is passionate about spreading awareness about the importance of quality education and empowering young individuals to face the future with confidence. Through Tap, Sofiia has been able to do just that. Tap has been a conduit for her passion for empowering fellow students through hands-on volunteer work. One of her favorite Tap events has been “Tap into the Night,” a vibrant night market featuring live performances and numerous booths selling crafts created by various school clubs.
